World model
An internal representation that helps an AI system predict how an environment or situation behaves.

Not directly
No, not directly. A world model describes a learned property, observed result, or broader concept rather than a normal user setting. You may influence it indirectly by changing the tool, data, prompt, or workflow.
Common questions
- Does a world model have to cover the whole world?
- No. It may represent only a limited setting, such as a room, game or driving situation.
- Can its predictions become unreliable after a change?
- Yes. Unfamiliar conditions can differ from what it learned, even when earlier predictions were accurate.
- Does accurate prediction prove human-like understanding?
- No. Predicting events well does not by itself establish how similar its understanding is to a person's.
